Her parents must be so proud.
A 16-year-old girl from Connecticut is behind bars after thinking she could get away with using a five-finger discount on a brand new iPhone. Unfortunately for her, the store owner had a problem with that and so did the police… especially after she used pepper spray to make her not-so-clean getaway.
Darien Daily Voice reports the girl walked into a cell phone store in Stamford and grabbed a new iPhone 12 that was on the counter. The owner followed her out of the store and tried getting the phone back, but things escalated.
A fight broke out and the girl sustained a punch to the face — and she retaliated by whipping out a can of mace and spraying the store owner instead of doing the obvious thing and dropping the phone to end things then and there.
Karma definitely bit her in the you-know-what because, after she was identified on CCTV footage, police knocked on her door and led her away in silver bracelets. She was charged with robbery and remanded to a juvenile detention center.
