Everett bar owner pleads not guilty to rapes

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — An Everett bar owner has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of felony sexual assault. The Herald reports a judge on Tuesday maintained bail at $1 million for 35-year-old Christian Sayre, who owns The Anchor Pub. Last week, the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office charged Sayre with two counts of second-degree rape and eight counts of indecent liberties. Superior Court Judge Cassandra Lopez-Shaw also granted no-contact protection orders for people involved in the case. Sayre was arrested Friday and remained in jail as of Tuesday evening.
