Times Square Businesses Looking At Comeback

NEW YORK (AP) — Businesses in New York City’s Times Square are hoping for a comeback now that vaccinated foreign tourists are being welcomed back into the United States. The global pandemic left the area’s restaurants, hotels and souvenir shops reeling. The Times Square Alliance says 9 in 10 businesses in the area closed as Broadway theaters shut their doors. While tourists have begun returning, one souvenir shop owner says foot traffic is still a long way from what it was before the pandemic.
