A mother got the shock of a lifetime when her son insisted she let him drive, and then she wound up getting carjacked by him.
According to Daily Voice, the woman was in the driver’s seat of a rented Hyundai Elantra when her son requested to get behind the wheel. She then “noticed the son had a pocket knife (and) became frightened…immediately exited the vehicle and called 911. The son then drove away,” said Saddle Brook Police Department Captain John Zotollo Jr.
The situation was handled and the car recovered in a fairly short time. The boy was charged with carjacking and the matter will reportedly be handled privately.
