Parkdale Elementary School was placed into Secure Status for 20 minutes yesterday out of an abundance of caution while the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office located a person in the area. Secure Status means that all students and staff are inside the building and all outside doors are locked. Students and staff are safe inside and conduct business as usual. The Secure Status was lifted at 1:30pm and law enforcement notified the school that it is safe to go outside.
