Recent wastewater test results confirm presence of the Delta variant in Hood River County as of July 2021. Given the highly transmissible and contagious nature of variants, it is critical that in addition to getting vaccinated we continue to wear masks and stay cautious. Per Governor Brown’s mandate, masks are currently required in all indoor settings to slow the spread of COVID-19. Beginning Friday, August 27th, masks will also be required in outdoor settings where physical distancing is not possible. This mandate applies to all individuals in public spaces, regardless of vaccination status.
