This morning, The Dalles Grocery Outlet presented The Dalles St. Vincent de Paul with $2,983 from a Fundraiser they did with their customers.

Grocery Outlet Owner Cody Miller told Gorge Country Media that “I previously worked with St. Vincent de Paul when I was a Store Manager at Safeway and they are always good at keeping things local and that was ultimately my goal with us raising this money and keeping it here local in the community of The Dalles. The Customers did an outstanding job, they were really supportive as well helping us donate it and we ran a good promotion where they gave us a five dollar donation and we gave them a five dollar coupon back in return, so it was win – win and all the proceeds stayed here locally in The Dalles”
Dave Lutgens, Executive Director of The Dalles St. Vincent de Paul said: “We feed a little over 60 people a day. So this money will go a long way to feeding them a long time. All of the donations we get from the people and the local businesses in The Dalles is just overwhelming at times.”
