Where do you hide a stolen horse? In your bedroom, of course

People steal the darnedest things, and a South Carolina man is proof of just that.

ABC News 10 reports that Garry Chase Coble Jr. was arrested after he stole a horse and tried to hide it in his bedroom.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, a woman spotted Coble riding the horse just after 2:30 in the afternoon before leading it inside the home. When police arrived at the home, they first spoke with his father, who shared that Coble wasn’t supposed to be there.

Together with his father, the police approached the home, where Coble opened the door and police spotted horse feces. Deputies then placed Coble into custody as he attempted to enter a bedroom, where police say they saw a full-size quarter horse.

The horse appeared to be in good spirits, though it displayed a small cut on its front leg.

Coble is facing charges including burglar, larceny and malicious injury to animals.
