We have assistance from several local communities including Appleton, Dallesport, Centerville?, High Prairie, Bingen, White Salmon and several others. Please stay out of the area if you don’t live there, be prepared to evacuate if you are living there near the fire.
5:37 pm Brush 1412 back in quarters and ready for service.
5:32 pm 409 and 404 back in quarters. skeleton crew still onsite for at least another hour mopping up and cleaning up downed trees.
5:14 Road still not open, a few more trees to cut.

4:58 pm Still working on clearing Highway 14, at this time there are still trees on the road.
4:40 pm Letting some traffic through on 14, although there are still some trees down on the road.
3:36 some of the upper areas are clear, mopped up. that crew moving to near the Klickitat river to assist.
3:33 some roads will continue to be closed while some trees are dropped. 1310, 1306, and 13? clear of fire and returning to quarters. White Salmon Medic is helping a person with an injury.
3:24 White Salmon tender 7 clear of Lyle fire and returning to base.
3:15 truck with wildland fire hose heading to the area just east of the Klickitat River to search out hotspots in the trees below the trailhead. Mop up.
3:07 The big push has slowed down. Scanner is more quiet, mop up is in process. Now they need to make sure to get all the hotspots. We are told no structures burned thanks to fast work from Lyle fire and the kite shop as well as local residents with garden hoses.

1:31 GO NOW. The town of Lyle is now receiving level three evacuation notice.
