(The Dalles, Oregon) June 15th, 2021 – The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that in partnership with Fort Dalles Fourth and their title sponsor Columbia Gorge Toyota and Honda we will be hosting the Hometown USA 4th of July Parade.
As Oregon inches closer to the goal of getting 70% of the population vaccinated The Dalles Chamber has begun optimistically planning for the Hometown USA 4th of July Parade. We are happy to be able to help throw this kickoff to the Cherry Fun in the Sun July activities. If Oregon is not able to open by July 4th, unfortunately we will NOT hold the parade. Encourage your friends and family that have not been vaccinated to get their shot. Let’s all work together to open up Oregon and make this the best 4th of July celebration The Dalles has ever seen!!
The parade will start at 10:00 am and will follow the same parade route as the Cherry Festival Parade, beginning at 6th and Webber Street and ending on 2nd Street by The Dalles Chamber. We will be collecting parade applications and fees at The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce located at 404 West 2nd Street The Dalles, OR 97058. You can download an application at TheDallesChamber.com.
“We are excited to bring back a full schedule of events for the 4th of July this year” says Matt Herriges Fort Dalles Fourth committee president, “We will start the day with the Rocket Run at 7:00 am and the Community Breakfast at 8:00 am at Bargeway Pub. Thanks to The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Gorge Toyota and Honda, and The Dalles Kiwanis Club the parade starts at 10:00 am. The viewing celebration at Sorosis Park starts at 9:00 pm and the fireworks show will begin at 10:00 pm. All of this would not be possible without our generous local sponsors, community partners, and support of our Veteran Banner fundraiser.
