City public works is currently working on a broken water pipe in the area of Quinton Ballpark. Public works officials advise that citizens in the area from E 9th to E 19th, and Dry Hollow Rd to Thompson St should shut off the water mains to their houses if possible and turn off their hot water heaters temporarily. This advisory will be removed when the situation is remedied.
***Numerous employees from City Public Works worked throughout the night on this situation. As of 0530 on 6/3, PW advises that approximately 600 residences will remain without water for an unknown amount of time. There may be a “boil notice” being issued today as well. Updates will be added as they are received.
