NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks closed out a choppy week of trading with a broad rally, though the gains were not enough to keep the S&P 500 from its first weekly loss in the last five. The benchmark index rose 1.1% Friday, clawing back all of its losses from a day earlier. It posted a 0.1% loss for the week. For the week, the Dow was down 0.5% and the Nasdaq down 0.3%. The Russell 2000 was up 0.4% for the week. For the year, the S&P is up 11.3%. The Dow is up 11.2%. The Nasdaq is up 8.8%. The Russell 2000 is up 15%.
