NCPHD Weekly COVID-19 Vaccine Report for Week Ending April 3

Through last week, over 13,700 doses have been administered in North Central Public Health District’s three- county service area of Wasco, Sherman and Gilliam counties.

Wasco and Sherman counties have vaccinated 38.2 percent of their population over age 16, and Gilliam County has vaccinated 31.7 percent. Wasco has vaccinated 65.1 percent of those 65 and older, Sherman 58.6 percent and Gilliam 48.2 percent.

Entities providing vaccines include NCPHD, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, One Community Health, Sherman County Medical Clinic in Moro, Arlington Medical Center, South Gilliam Health Center in Condon, and Deschutes Rim Clinic in Maupin.

Local pharmacies, including Safeway and Bi-Mart in The Dalles in Wasco County and Murray’s Drug in Condon in Gilliam County are vaccinating people currently.

Through last Saturday, April 3, the below entities have administered 13,711 vaccines, including first and second doses. The breakdown of vaccines by agency or group is:

  • North Central Public Health District (NCPHD): 8,112 cumulative doses; 1,560 the week ending April 3.
  • Sherman County Medical Center: cumulative 694; 105 the week ending April 3.
  • Mid-Columbia Medical Center: 1,481 cumulative. (MCMC staffs a vaccine clinic on Wednesdays but the vaccine count is now tabulated through NCPHD and appointments are booked through NCPHD’s booking system.)
  • One Community Health: 1,259 cumulative; 222 the week ending April 3.
  • Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue: 332 cumulative doses (MCFR has completed its vaccine work, which included first responders.)
  • Arlington Medical Center: 110 cumulative; 10 the week ending April 3.
  • South Gilliam Health Center: 88 cumulative, 0 the week ending April 3.
  • Deschutes Rim Health Clinic: 229; 44 the week ending April 3.
  • Local long term care facilities: 1,406 cumulative doses. (Long term care facilities have completed their doses.)

Those now eligible for the vaccine include agricultural workers, all frontline workers and their immediate families, those 16 and older with underlying health conditions and pregnant people 16 and older. (NCPHD currently has Moderna, which is only available to those 18 and older. We are working with the Oregon Health Authority to get the Pfizer vaccine for those 16 and older in the coming weeks.)
