On Saturday, March 27, 2021, at approximately 12:48 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 201S near milepost 18.
Preliminary investigation revealed a BMW 325, operated by Katelyn Shipley (24) of Mountain Home, ID, was traveling on Hwy 201 S when it left the roadway and rolled several times.
Shipley was transported by Life Flight to a Boise hospital with injuries.
There were two passengers:
Austin Mallon (26) of Boise sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Duncan Owen (25) of Boise was transported by Life Flight to a Boise hospital with injuries.
OSP was assisted by the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, Treasure Valley Paramedics, Life Flight and ODOT.
