Sometimes kids say the darndest things and sometimes they write them. This is a story of the latter.
In a video shared to TikTok a mother gushed over the handmade card her son made her for Mother’s Day, which was celebrated on Sunday in the U.K. According to The Mirror, who captured images of the card which featured shiny red star stickers around the perimeter, the message on it read, “Happy Mother’s Day, from Alfie.”
Sweet, right? Sure, until the mom noticed a smaller message written in the bottom of the card.
“I was forced to do this,” it read.
The video has been viewed over 700,000 times and has received many comments from other parents who’ve had similar experiences.
One user shared, “Mine said Happy Mother’s Day, thank you daddy for everything. He’s a daddy’s boy.”
Another added, “It’s a boy thing. I had a drawing of a poo with flies around it on my envelope and didn’t even write mum.”
