On January 22, 2021 officer of The Dalles Oregon Police Department responded to an armed robbery at 3021 West 7thStreet The Dalles, Oregón.
It was discovered that the suspects had entered the residence brandishing a firearm and detained resident Donald Lewis.Suspects severely assaulted him and stole several items from his home.
On Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at approximately 5:30 pm Christopher Jaha (Age: 03/08/1967) was arrested in Portland, Oregon. Jaha’s arrest is part of an ongoing criminal investigation involving the armed robbery that occurred at 3021 West 7th Street, in the city at The Dalles on January 22, 2021.
The arrest was the result of a grand jury indictment called Friday, March 5 in Wasco County. Jaha was charged with kidnapping 1 (confining to injuring) robbery 1 (armed) and assault 1 (serious injury with gun). These three crimes are all crimes from measure 11 of the balloon. Jaha is also being charged with robbery 1, assault 3 (accompanied by another one), robbery, 1 (aggravated), illegal use of a weapon (intended to use) and threatening.
Detectives from The Dalles Police Department were assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office during the time of Jaha’s arrest, and was arrested without incident. Jaha was transported and lodged in Clackamas County Jail. He is waiting for transportation to Norcor where he will be arrested on previous charges.
The Dalles Police Department has been assisted in this investigation by the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, members of the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, Hood River County Sheriff sheriff’s Office Sherman County, Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas County Sheriff’s office, Oregon State Police, and Wasco County District Attorney’s Office.
Since the investigation is still underway, no further information will be provided at this time.
