| On Saturday, March 6, 2021 at approximately 1:00 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 101 near milepost 14. Preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound Dodge Ram 3500 pickup towing a large RV, operated by Donald Siglin (76) of Banks, crossed into the northbound lane and struck a Toyota Corolla operated by Hazel Nyberg (66) of Astoria. Nyberg sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Siglin was flown to OHSU were he was pronounced deceased. OSP was assisted by the Gearhart Fire Department, Gearhart Police Department, Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office, Warrenton Fire Department, and ODOT. |
