Well, you get the new Reese’s invention — a chocolate-free all-peanut butter Reese’s peanut butter cup. Yes, it’s just peanut butter.
This is the first time in over 90 years since this iconic candy got a makeover this extreme and, well, fans are deciding if this is a necessary face lift.
“Secret’s out… Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers has gone ULTIMATE,” the company tweeted Monday to mark National Peanut Butter Lovers Day.
The reaction from fans has largely favored the “why?” side of things and not the “yum” reaction the company had hoped.
“if I just wanted peanut butter I would buy a jar of peanut butter” one fan remarked while another quipped, “So this is how Reese’s has evolved…. literally just peanut butter filled cups of peanut butter.”
So, will you be putting these in your Easter baskets or will you stick to the chocolatey goodness known as the OG cup?
