MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Novak Djokovic has won his ninth Australian Open championship and 18th Grand Slam title. The top-ranked Djokovic beat fourth-seeded Daniil Medvedev 7-5, 6-2, 6-2, ending his 20-match winning streak. It’s the third consecutive Australian Open trophy for Djokovic, who has won six of the last 10 major tournaments. Medvedev was appearing in his second Grand Slam final. He was the runner-up to Nadal at the 2019 U.S. Open.
