On December 31st, 2020, at 6:34 p.m., deputies were called to the 4100 block of Brooklake Rd NE after a pedestrian was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. When emergency crews arrived in the area, they began assisting the 23-year-old female who had life-threatening injuries.
Deputies interviewed witnesses at the scene and were assisted by crash investigators from the Oregon State Police. The involved driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Based upon initial information, deputies learned the female was crossing the road in front of May Trucking when she was struck by the vehicle.
The pedestrian, Cassidy Kendall, 23, of Oak Harbor, Washington is currently in critical condition at OHSU.
