2020 is the year that keeps on giving.
If you thought that 100 percent legitimate video game where you could romance Colonel Sanders, the beloved Kentucky Fried Chicken mascot, was a little too out there… think again. The bar has been set even higher because the Colonel is starring his very own romance movie that’s set to premiere on Lifetime.
Saved by the Bell alum Mario Lopez stars as the bespectacled chicken spokesperson in A Recipe for Seduction, who uses his “finger lickin’ good” chicken recipe to convince a super-rich young woman to walk away from her snooty betrothed and into his beefy arms.
“As the holidays draw near, a young heiress contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother,” the official description reads. “When the handsome chef, Harland Sanders, arrives with his secret fried chicken recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravels the mother’s devious plans. Will our plucky heiress escape to her wintry happily ever after with Harland at her side, or will she cave to the demands of family and duty?”
Also, will Harlan a.k.a. Colonel Sanders survive the tale because there is a scene in the trailer that definitely shows him tied up to a chair as the devious mother screams, “Just kill him already!”
The mini-movie premieres December 13 at 12 p.m. ET.
