The only person with a spoken line in Mel Brooks' 1976 film Silent Movie is the legendary mime artist Marcel Marceau, who utters a single word, "Non" (No). While the movie uses intertitles for most dialogue, Marceau's brief, whispered "non" breaks the silent convention, adding to the film's comedic meta-commentary.
