FYI on a current Facebook scam. Hackers will take over the account of one of your friends. They will then list an item for sale that is an excellent deal. From there, they ask for payment via Venmo or another digital form. In the end you lose money and the scammer moves on.
The solution, never pay for goods until you have them in hand.
