Missing woman’s body found in Oregon landfill, man arrested

ALOHA, Ore. (AP) — The body of a missing 27-year-old woman has been found in an Oregon landfill, according to Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s officials said Wednesday that an autopsy confirmed a body found Tuesday at a landfill in Corvallis was that of Kaylee Birdzell. She had been reported missing Friday. The Sheriff’s Office says deputies received information Sunday that Birdzell had been killed and her body put into the garbage of an apartment complex in Aloha. Detectives tracked it to the landfill. Detectives arrested Fabian Hernandez, who had been in a relationship with Birdzell, on charges including murder. It wasn’t immediately known if he has a lawyer to comment on his behalf.
