Survey shows nearly 70% of Americans feel judged by their partners over their “guilty pleasure” foods

Sure, Americans snack too much, but we’re not judging. OK, well, apparently we are: A new survey shows 69% of us feel judged by our partner over our favorite guilty pleasure snack habits.

That said, the same percentage of people also admit they judge their loved ones for the same reason.

The survey of 2,000 people that was sponsored by GoodCook also revealed that younger couples tend to be more judgmental of their partners’ snacking habits when compared to boomers.

Sixty-five percent of respondents also admit they harbor “controversial” food opinions: That goes for the 61% who’d give peanut butter and pickles a shot; the 20% who consider white chocolate better than the usual kind; and the 13% who preferred cold pizza over warm.

Speaking of pizza, 35% said they love pineapple on it; 33% prefer topping their pizza with barbecue sauce; and 30% say ranch dressing on a big pizza pie is amore.
