Survey says 40% of people have tasted their pet’s food

Most people in this country would do anything for their pets, but as it turns out, they might go a little further than one might think.

In fact, nearly 40% of them have sampled their pet’s food to see if it’s good enough for their furry friend.

That’s one of the findings of a new survey of 2,004 Americans that was commissioned by ElleVet.

What’s more, of the nearly 4 in 10 that have tried Fido’s food, 29% admitted it tasted good.

As for those dog and cat owners who got the craving for kibble, 56% have tried their pet’s actual “meals,” while nearly as many, at 53%, have sampled their pet’s treats.

And while curiosity may kill the cat, according to the adage, it’s also the reason the humans gave their pet’s food a try: 53% say they were curious as to why their cuddly charges gobbled up the stuff.
