NEW YORK (AP) — Whoopi Goldberg has apologized for saying the Holocaust was not about race, and took to “The View” on to explain how she was educated that her comments on the show the day before were wrong. She had caused a backlash on Monday when she said the Holocaust was not about race but about “man’s inhumanity to other man.” “The View” brought on the head of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, Tuesday to explain why Goldberg’s comments were upsetting to many Jews, because Nazi leader Adolf Hitler considered Jews to be an inferior race. Greenblatt said “The View” should consider adding a Jewish co-host to keep issues of antisemitism in the forefront.
