3 teens killed, 2 hurt in vehicle crash near Forks

FORKS, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say three teenagers died and two others were hurt in a vehicle crash outside Forks. The Peninsula Daily News reports the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said the five young people were in a car that slammed into a tree on Sitkum-Solduc Road early Saturday morning. Authorities say 17-year-old Shaiyann Cummins and 18-year-olds Jaden Lohrengel and Tyler Ellis died in the crash. Nineteen-year-olds Gyovanna Morales and Ariel Morales Sandoval remained at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Monday. The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office says the single-vehicle collision was at 4:19 a.m. The sheriff’s office says alcohol and vehicle speed are suspected to be factors in the collision.
