The Dalles City Council Meets Tonight

The Dalles City Council meets by Zoom tonight at 5:30. Login information is located at the top of the agenda, which can be found at the city’s website.  Items on the agenda include a public hearing on final approval of a controversial housing development on the east side of The Dalles. Opponents have 21 days to file a notice of appeal to LUBA, the state’s Land Use Board of Appeals.

Councilors will also have a hearing prior to a vote on removing the current section of the city code on bed and breakfast and vacation rentals and replacing it with a new short term rentals section. The changes will involve new inspection and parking requirements and fees, which have yet to be set.

And there will be a vote to approve an intergovernmental agreement with Klickitat County needed to accept a grant for improvements at the Columbia Gorge Regional Airport. which the city and county own jointly.
