Portland killing suspect and victim had guns, documents say

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say the suspect in last weekend’s slaying of the right-wing protester in Portland, Oregon and the victim had handguns. The new details about the confrontation amid dueling protests emerged in court documents that were part of the arrest warrant for Michael Forest Reinoehl. He was fatally shot late Thursday by federal agents in Washington state. Authorities say Reinoehl shot Aaron “Jay” Danielson, a supporter of a right-wing group called Patriot Prayer, on Aug. 29. Police say Danielson had a Glock pistol in a holster, bear spray and an expandable metal baton when the confrontation began. Authorities say it started with someone saying something like “wanna go?”
