Officials investigate drowning in Green River Gorge park

BLACK DIAMOND, Wash. (AP) — King County sheriff’s detectives were investigating a drowning near the Green River Gorge State Park. The county’s marine unit responded to Southeast Green River Gorge Road near Black Diamond on Tuesday evening. The victim, a man in his 20s, died at the scene. In Seattle, the Fire Department has responded to 56 water rescues, and in King County, there have been 16 drownings since mid-May.
