Police arrest man in Pioneer Square fatal shooting

SEATTLE (AP) — A man was arrested on investigation of murder in connection with the shooting of a man in Pioneer Square last month. Detectives took a man and woman into custody in North Seattle, police said in a statement. They released the woman, and booked the man into King County Jail. The shooting occurred in Seattle’s Pioneer Square around 10:25 p.m. July 17. Officers found the wounded man on the ground. They performed first aid, but he died at the scene. No further information about what led to the shooting was immediately available, and police continued to investigate.
