The Dalles, Ore. – July 16, 2020 – Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD) as operator of The Link Public Transportation announces service changes to better serve riders.
- The Dalles Deviated Fixed Route (DFR): Link buses now pass each of our 5 stops every 30 minutes versus 60 minutes effectively doubling the frequency of stops for riders. Stops include The Dalles Transit Center, near Goodwill, Columbia Gorge Community College, Mid-Columbia Medical Center, and the Veteran’s Service Office. The loop runs from 7am to 6pm and rides are $1.50 each. This schedule change was coordinated with the schedules for buses in The Dalles from Columbia Area Transit and Mount Adams Transportation Service to ease connection between services. DFR allows riders to coordinate pick-up or drop off within 1/4 mile of the designated stop. The Link website has been updated with the new DFR schedule, and a PDF is available on the site for download and printing.
- The Link is back to operating Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm and has resumed taking cash and tickets. Saturday service is still suspended until further notice.
- MCEDD Link Lobby at 802 Chenowith Loop Road in The Dalles is open for resumed Link and Greyhound ticket sales, and in-person questions from the community.
