KLICKITAT COUNTY – The Emergency Operations Center in Unified Command with the Klickitat County Public Health Department wants you to stay physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy. Governor Inslee issued an extension of the Safe Start Proclamation on July 7th which extends the order through August 6th.
Each extension can be difficult for individuals to process. The fact that we are still being asked to physically distance ourselves from others and wear facial coverings can be mentally and emotionally wearing. Although finding ways to de-stress and refresh your mind and body can be difficult during all of these restrictions and closures it is still possible. A few ways to stay healthy include:
Connection- Use alternative ways to connect with friends and loved ones such as through social media platforms like Zoom, Googlemeets, and Facetime.
Personal Care- Eat healthy, stay active, seek medical help if needed, get good sleep, read a book, start a new hobby.
Focus on the Positive- There has been a lot of positive change around us during these difficult times. Look around you and see the good that is happening.
Your primary care provider is always a great resource and should be kept informed about your health. Additional resources are available including:
