USDA Coronavirus Food Assistance Program

The USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program was recently implemented, which will provide direct relief to farmers and ranchers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19.

Critical Upgrades to the Paycheck Protection Program

The Paycheck Protection Program has provided a lifeline to countless small businesses in Southwest Washington, but when it was first implemented many employers told me it needed additional flexibility to be workable for them. I’m pleased that Congress recently passed, and the president signed into law, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act which will bring about much-needed reforms to this program.
