As NYC awakens, navigating a strange new normal

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York City immortalized in song and scene has been swapped out for the last few months – and who knows how much longer – with the virus version. With reopening underway, it raises the question of what will the city become. The near-term and maybe even longer-term impact is undoubtedly going to be ugly, with job losses and financial distress. But in all the unknowing of what the future holds, there’s faith in that other quintessential facet of New York City: that the city will adapt.
