United Way of the Columbia Gorge Announces New Executive Director

HOOD RIVER, OR – The Board of Directors of the United Way of the Columbia Gorge is pleased to announce that Christine Baratoff has been selected as its new Executive Director, effective June 1, 2020. She succeeds Jarrod Holmes who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Baratoff is originally from Concord, MA, and is a graduate of American University in Washington DC. She has previously worked as a commercial property manager, finance associate, executive assistant and statistical analyst. Most recently, Baratoff served as the Event Coordinator for the United Way of the Columbia Gorge’s Viva Las Vegas Gala in October 2019. Her motivation, creativity and organization skills were instrumental in the event’s success.

She added, “Her background in finance and management combined with her passion for the mission of United Way makes her a great fit during these very uncertain times.”

As the new Executive Director, Baratoff will be working with a diverse team of leaders and volunteers to achieve the vision developed by the UWCG Board of Directors. Baratoff is excited about this opportunity and said, “”I am thrilled to be joining the United Way of the Columbia Gorge as Executive Director. I look forward to helping our local community and our organization both adapt and thrive as we are all impacted by the changes around us.”
