Man charged with making meth, heroin, west of Salem

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A 75-year-old man has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and heroin. The Statesman Journal reports on Wednesday, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched a home west of Salem in Otis. Deputies say they found stolen property including firearms that had been taken during recent burglaries in the north Lincoln County area. 1. West of Salem? Why not say North of Lincoln City? If you went any further “West of Salem” you’d be in the ocean. Otis is 52 miles “West of Salem”, 7 miles from Lincoln City.
