Wasco County Commissioners held a virtual meeting yesterday. The agenda included a COVID-19 update from North Central Public Health District Medical Advisor Dr. Mimi McDonell
North Central Public Health District Director Teri Thalhofer said part of the reason Wasco County was able to certify to the governor to go to phase one was thanks to a local business:
Thalhofer added that Holiday Inn in The Dalles had also agreed to set aside rooms for isolation and quarantine if needed.
Lynn Burditt of the US Forest Service reported that some areas in the Columbia River Gorge would reopen to visitors next Wednesday.
She said Sandy River Delta and Lewis & Clark State Park on the Sandy River would remain closed for the time being.
