Washington Candidate Filing Week is May 11-15, 2020

In Person Filing
In person filing opens at 8:30 A.M. May 11th and closes at 5:00 P.M. May 15th. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in person filing will be conducted by appointment only. Please call (509) 773-4001 to set up an appointment with the Elections Department. Filing fees can be paid by cash, check, or money order.

Online Candidate Filing
Online Candidate Filing opens at 9:00 A.M. on May 11th and closes at 4:00 P.M. on May 15th. Filing fees can be paid with a credit or debit card.

Mail In Filing
Declarations may be accepted by mailbeginning on April 27th. They will be processed during filing week. All mail in filings must be received in our office by 5 p.m. May 15th. Send declarations to Klickitat County Auditor, 205 S Columbus Ave Room 203, Goldendale, WA 98620. Filing fees can be paid with check or money order.

Filing Fees
All filing fees are due by May 15th at 5:00 P.M. Declarations will not be processed until filing fees (if applicable) are submitted. Filing fees are non- refundable.

Withdrawal
The deadline for candidate withdrawal is 5 P.M. on May 18, 2020. Filing fees are non-refundable.

Candidate Voters’ Pamphlet Statements
There will be an online voters’ guide available for the Primary and General Election and a printed voters’ pamphlet for the General Election if the Secretary of State publishes one. Statements and photos are due by May 22, 2020.

Lot Draw Information 
A lot drawing to determine candidate placement on the ballot will be held May 18, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in the Courthouse. The lot drawing will be held for multiple candidate races to determine the initial order in which the names of candidates for partisan, judicial, and nonpartisan offices will appear on the Primary ballot.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, call (509) 773-4001 to set up an appointment with the Elections Department to attend the lot drawing.
