BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — Court documents say a fight over a cigarette resulted in a woman allegedly stabbing her father to death. The Bellingham Herald reports 33-year-old Kali Marie McConnell was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of her 57-year-old father. Court records say McConnell was also accused of beating a 53-year-old woman at a home near Bellingham. Records say a fight erupted after McConnell’s companion told her to remove a cigarette from her mouth and McConnell’s father did not like the way the man spoke to his daughter. Records say McConnell allegedly stabbed her father during the fight.
