A Hawaii handyman with a history of run-ins with police and neighbors faced eviction when authorities say he stabbed his landlord and killed two police officers. Then the house that the man and two women were believed to be inside caught fire. Suspect Jaroslav Hanel and the two women are presumed dead inside the home but remains have not been recovered. Honolulu Police Chief Susan Ballard said Sunday that the chaos started when police found the homeowner outside, stabbed in the leg. Court documents say she had filed paperwork to evict Hanel. Hanel’s lawyer says he lived in her home for free in exchange for his work.
