BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — A worker suffered life-threatening injuries when a piece of equipment fell on him at the new East Link light rail site under construction in Bellevue.
KOMO-TV reports rescuers and medics responded to the scene at about 10:35 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of an accident, said Lt. Olsen of the Bellevue Fire Department.
The worker was found with severe injuries. Olsen said he believes firefighters had to lift heavy equipment off the man before he could be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
No other information was available about the worker.
The circumstances leading up the accident weren’t immediately disclosed.
