Father, 2 sons charged in fatal Seattle robbery

SEATTLE (AP) — The father of two men charged with murder has been charged with the same crime and accused of participating with them in a May robbery that ended with the shooting death of a man in Seattle.

News outlets report William Diaz Sr. was arrested last week and is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.

Charging papers say Diaz Sr., his sons and two other men forced their way into Steven Sande’s RV May 29 in North Seattle. Court records say Sande was shot and died after stumbling outside.

Police say Diaz Sr. contacted a detective in June saying he’d driven his sons and that they were planning to get drugs and money.

Adrien Diaz and William Diaz were charged July 1. Both are also being held on $2 million. It wasn’t known if any of them have lawyers.
