CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Police say they arrested a 22-year-old man who opened fire with a handgun in a corndog manufacturing plant in Corvallis, Oregon, before surrendering to police.
There were no injuries. Corvallis Police Capt. Nick Hurley told reporters that the suspect, Adrian Nickerson, was a temporary employee at the plant. Authorities say he fired a single shot Thursday morning in a woman’s restroom within the Foster Farms processing plant.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
Nearby businesses were placed on lockdown for nearly four hours and authorities advised people to avoid the area.
