“I am honored to have been selected to be a state director in this organization. They have a vision that empowers women legislators to drive strong policy and strengthen their leadership skills.” said Mosbrucker. “It provides me the opportunity to work with other leaders throughout the country who represent states that are working on similar issues we are trying to address here in Washington state.”
Women In Government provides leadership opportunities, networking, expert forums, and educational resources for women state legislators.
Rep. Cindy Ryu, D-Shoreline and vice-chair of the Women In Government Board of Directors, said she worked closely with Mosbrucker on the House Community Development, Housing and Tribal Affairs Committee for two years and feels she is a great fit for the organization and the director position.
“State Directors are legislative leaders in states that keep the national association informed about pressing policy issues,” said Ryu. “Women In Government is a nonpartisan organization that relies on State Directors to ensure that all perspectives are represented in our events and resources.”
In the Washington State Legislature, Mosbrucker serves as the vice-caucus chair for the House Republican Caucus. She also serves on the House Labor and Workplace Standards, Appropriations, and the State Government and Tribal Relations committees.
