1 killed in crash in Kent

KENT, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say one person was killed in head-on crash in Kent, Washington, that left two others involved in the crash on the run.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses said a red car and a silver car crashed into each other, and the silver car caught fire from the impact. One person was found dead inside that silver vehicle after the flames were extinguished.

KOMO reports two other people were seen running away from the silver vehicle. They were not found afterward. Early investigation suggests the silver vehicle had been driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes of traffic when the crash happened.

An investigation continues.
