Washington state man sentenced for crashing into Boeing gate

SEATTLE (AP) — A Washington state man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for crashing his car into a Boeing Company plant gate and critically injuring a security guard.

KOMO-TV reported that 28-year-old Peter Suriz Phommasak received the sentenced after pleading guilty in King County Superior Court Monday to five charges including vehicular assault and hit-and-run.

Police say that in April 2018 Phommasak was a suspect in an assault at a park and was being pursued by police when his car crashed through the Boeing gate in suburban Seattle and injured the guard.

Phommasak faces the possibility of 94 months in prison, with credit for time served.

He was ordered to pay restitution, not to drink alcohol or consume marijuana after his release, and was banned from driving for 10 years.
