It’s a Teen Winter Break free Movie Marathon at the Hood River County Library today from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. For ages 11 through 20 catch a double feature of Ant Man and Ant Man and the Wasp.


Saturday Night Bingo at Mid- Columbia Senior Center in The Dalles presents an “End of the Year” Bingo Party Saturday with a guaranteed payout of $1000.00 on the final game. Minimum buy-in is $10.00. Doors open at 4 pm. Bingo starts at 6pm. All ages 12 and over are welcome though people 12-18 years must be accompanied by a legal guardian. New players are encouraged to arrive by 5:30.


12th Annual Polar Bear Plunge at Maryhill State Park. Tuesday, January 1, 2019 exactly 10 am at Maryhill State Park. The event lasts as long as the participants can remain in the 40 degree temperatures of the Columbia River. Registration is set for $10. Participants also can register for $30 which also includes a Polar Plunge T-shirt. Registration forms are available at the Goldendale Chamber of Commerce building, or online at The Central Klickitat County Park and Recreation District website. The event is a fundraiser for the district with proceeds benefitting swim lessons, scholarships, upkeep of the district facilities and more. No charge for entering the park as there is free entry to all Washington state parks on New Year’s Day.
