DENVER (AP) — A fast-growing Colorado ski resort company has closed on the purchase of a resort in Washington state.
The Denver Post reports Denver-based Alterra Mountain Co. announced Monday that it had acquired Crystal Mountain Resort, a 2,600-acre (1,050-hectare) property about 80 miles (129 kilometers) southeast of Seattle.
The company did not disclose the terms of the deal.
The resort is in the northeast edge of Mount Rainier National Park and features 10 lifts, 57 runs and several lodging properties.
The company now owns 14 resorts in the U.S. and Canada. It acquired Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, earlier this year.
The company is offering the Ikon Pass for the upcoming winter, providing skiers and riders access to its resorts and 22 partner sites.
